As we prepare for the New Year I always recommend that entrepreneurs, especially work at home entrepreneurs, take time to reflect and set goals for the upcoming year. Be sure to look at the things that went really well in your business this past year not only what did not get done and is going to be rolled into next year’s goal setting.
As you reflect on your good progress note how and why that happened. Don’t gloss over it and notice the negative. Our minds gravitate toward majoring on our failures, but we need to retrain ourselves to see potential. Take time to notice your success before you write out your goals for next year. Now you’ll be in the right mindset to think about your goals you have for your next full year in business.
Be sure to include a few motivational reads along with your year’s plans. One of my favorite books that should be read at least once a year is the book titled Think and Grow Rich. Go to that link for a free text download.
Mindset is everything and the actions that accompany that mindset is what puts the 3% of this nation’s people who are rich at that level. I will be continuing my blog series on this book and the steps every business owner should take very soon.
Until then …

At this point, I can’t recall any motivational books but I have a cabinet full so I need to revisit some. I am going to work on setting my goals for the coming year this week. I have some business and personal goals I really want to accomplish.
‘The Power of Focus’ is one of my all time favorite books. I read it back in 2005 and it totally changed my life. I started to get super focused in several areas, including my business. (I even created a product called The Power of a Focused Business!)
